Alex Vogt is a rising senior from Richmond, Virginia. At Furman Alex is a Spanish major and a Latin American Studies minor with a concentration in Middle East and Islamic Studies. This summer Alex is working for a Hispanic and Latin American Community Center doing translation and administrative work as well as working for a local bourbon distillery called Reservoir. For this upcoming year Alex will be serving as Kustos, our Ritual Chair, and we could not be more honored to have such a humble man be in charge of a vital part of our chapter. A quote from Alex read, “Sigma Chi is a motley crew from every corner of the United States, and even the world. I found being a member of Sigma Chi at Furman and getting to know these guys has made me really appreciate just how such a diverse and different group of people can come together and become best friends. I know that everyone in this group will be some of my closest friends even after college, and that the relationships I have built with them will always be special and unique no matter where we are down the road.” We hope you are enjoying your summer Alex and we cannot wait to be reunited with you come August!
