Chapter Update: Received the Peterson Significant Chapter Award

Last week five of our brothers traveled to Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio, for a Sigma Chi international convention. The convention is called Balfour Leadership Training Workshop (BLTW). The award that we received is called the Peterson Significant Chapter Award and it “recognizes excellent, but not impossible, performance by chapters in all major areas of operation and programming. For many years, the Peterson plaque has been a symbol of dedication, idealism and achievement” (Sigmachi.org).The brothers who went were Braxton Bragg and Alec Schindler, class of 2017; and Andrew Lull, Clayton Moyer, and Jake Ybarra, class of 2019. Vice President, Alec Schindler, had this to say about our chapter receiving the Peterson, “I’m proud of all the hard work of our brothers this year, and all the success we have earned from it. We had a great weekend at BLTW where we received the help of several of our alumni in creating a strategic plan for our chapter. We are excited for the upcoming year and hope to continue the success of our chapter by bringing home many Peterson awards to come!” This is our second consecutive Peterson award, and this year all of us are ready to put in the hard work to make it three in a row.
